Origin and processing

French and traceable production:

- Harvested and sorted in Val d'azun in the Hautes-Pyrénées

- Washed, carded and spun at the Niaux spinning mill in Ariège

- The grey colour is natural and is obtained by blending ecrue wool with black wool.

Note: Cone-spun yarn is not rewashed (unlike skein-spun yarn), so the sizing oil needed for the transformation process is still present. As a result, the yarn will swell more after your work has been washed. We strongly advise you to make a sample. It is also advisable to wash the yarn before dyeing (for example, after making a skein), so that the sizing oil does not obstruct the dyeing process.

Care

Wool is not treated with superwah. We recommend washing it cold with a little soap or detergent, then drying it flat (read this article in my blog). If you want to test the wool programme on your washing machine, try a sample first to avoid any disappointment.

NB: Despite all the care taken with the photos to reproduce the colour as closely as possible, it may vary depending on the screen.
